The fascinating world of grasses
1 july. Guided tour introducing grasses. In english.
This tour introduces grasses, focusing on their structure, functional biology, ecology, and diversity. It also highlights the important service performed by grasses in the human world.
Despite being taxonomically diverse, ecologically and economically important, and occurring on almost every land mass, grasses are often overlooked and under-appreciated. This tour aims to introduce the structure of a typical grass plant and to develop a functional understanding of why grasses look and behave the way they do.
