Herbariets gömda skatter - Exhibition
1 June – 4 October. Exhibition about the herbarium.
A herbarium is far more than a collection of old dried plants, algae and fungi. Each pressed specimen is a preserved moment in the history of nature - gathered by botanists, explorers and researchers over the centuries. Herbaria also play an active role in modern research, linking past discoveries with today’s science.
Herbariets gömda skatter (The Herbarium’s Hidden Treasures) takes you on a journey through botanical exploration, contemporary research and fascinating discoveries.
The exhibition is a collaboration with the Gothenburg Global Biodiversity Centre and the Sambio project.
Time: 1 June–4 October. Opens at 12:00 every day and closes when the Visitor Centre closes. Visitor Centre opening hours.
Location: Galleri Floras rike.
