Botaniska offers a variety of horticultural expression and beauty. Gothenburg deserves its place on the botanical world map for these features and also for its unique collection of bulbs and tubers, all gathered wild. They can be seen for example in the Rock Garden, and are at their loveliest when blooming in the spring.
Volontary admission fee to the garden. Admission fee to the greenhouses (under 18 year old for free): SEK 30.
Tour operators and buss companies pay SEK 40 / person. Please contact the shop on arrival.
Opening hours The Botanical garden is open every day, all year round, around the clock.
New glasshouses and visitor centre are under construction and will open 2028.
You can find toilets to the right when coming through the entrance, below the hill up to the Rhododendron valley (closed november - march) and also in the restaurant.
A wheelchairs can be borrowed in the shop april - october but have to be booked in advance. Call 010 - 473 77 77 (ask for the shop). Disability-toilets are found in the entrance area in the restaurant and in the center of the garden. Disability-elevator to the visitor's centre and administrational building can be found in the shop.

Dogs are not allowed into the garden during 1 mars - 30 september.
The reason why dogs are not allowed into the garden this time of year is that Botaniska, apart from other gardens and parks, have a very extensive, fragile and unique plant material. Think of the garden as a museum. The vulnerability is especially at its peak during the growing period.
During rest of the year dogs are welcome on leash.
