Let our Kitchen Garden inspire your own gardening! We grow about a hundred different vegetables and forty kinds of potato every year, mainly tested, healthy, resistent types. Several of our potatoes are also of interest culturally and historically.
We demonstrate different ways of designing a garden and various techniques for growing vegetables. Raised beds, the round deep bed near the greenhouse and rotation farming are three examples. By allowing the plants to change beds systematically, the soil is improved over time and we counteract insect pests.
Our methods are entirely ecological, without artificial fertilisers or chemical pesticides. One result of all this is the impressively large, fine cabbages. You can also see the attractive effect of pruning the fruit trees to a variety of espalier shapes.
